The Lions Pride first competition outing (WKA British Open) went well. The team all fought well and it was an amazing day.
One of our team (James Dennis) made it through to the semi finals and finished in 3rd place winning a Bronze Medal. As James ranked, he qualified for the English Squad and is hoping to compete in the WKC World Championships in October this year.
There is no funding available for this kind of sport, and there are some hefty costs involved. As such James needs sponsorship to be ready to compete on the World stage and represent his country.
The costs for the World Championships are as follows:
- Actual trip costs (board and breakfast) £499.00
- Insurance £38
- Entry Fee £60
- Uniform £130
- Supplements £30/month – Sponsored by Lean and Green, Many thanks!
- Additional Training Costs £60/week, £240/month
As you can see the amounts soon start to add up. It is a shame there is no funding but that is the case at the moment. James has worked extremely hard and continues to do so heading towards this competition; we just need some help to get him there.
For the first time ever the National Strip is allowed to carry small logos, which will mean that your company will have coverage in the press and seen by many attendees at the event as well.
